I didn’t know Francis before he spoke, but it was definitely the unique perpective of a guy who’s committed to not do church as usual. Here’s what he said:
- In the body of Christ, the appendix is the part that doesn’t do anything, but they might explode and kill everyone. 🙂
- Unfortunately, today you can be a "successful" leader in ministry without love (and neglect the greatest commandments in the process).
- When was the last time you were broken over the lostness of people? Do our hearts break for people who are far from God?
- Gal 1:1, 14 – We have been sent by God not people, set apart from birth and called us to serve him, it wasn’t by popular opinion poll.
- We are empowered by God.
- Jer. 1:4 – God knew us before He made us.
- Jer. 1:17 – The fear of man is a trap. God is the only One we should fear.
- How often do we hold our tongue when God wants us to say something?
- Jer. 1:18 – As a godly leader, not everyone is going to like you, but God is with you.
- One day, we’ll answer to God for how we’ve led.
