Not that I’m competitive or anything 🙂 but according to the latest census, Kyle is the 5th fastest growing city in the Lone Star State from 2000-2006. Remember, K-town was 5,314 in 2000 and 20,655 in 2006 (for those of us who are mathematically challenged, that’s nearly 300% growth rate!) Now our current population is more like 30,000 people.
Personally, I love being a part of such a growing area. God has brought us here at the right time and place. I know it’s a pain to get around without the roads in place yet, but even with the hassles, I say, "Bring ’em on!"
There’s a classic old story about a stranger who asks a local for directions. After starting to give directions serveral times (each one different) and stopping part way as they got confused or turned out wrong, the local finally decides "You can’t get there from here."
We are here to make it hard for anyone to get to Hell from Kyle! So that if someone asks, we’ll tell ’em: "You just can’t get there from here." Let’s go give ’em Heaven!
