Kenzie in The Lion King

Tonight, Kenzie performed the part of Nala in Bannockburn Elementary’s presentation of “The Lion King.” They basically did the song selections with a brief narration to tie the songs together. The great part about this was the ownership that the kids took in making it happen. A lot of it was choreographed by the students themselves. Although the sound and video quality isn’t that great, what stood out to me tonight was the hint of soulfulness in Kenzie’s voice and, of course, her confidence to stand up there and bring it like she did.  It also amazed me that we hadn’t heard her practice this song at all around the house, so this was our first time to hear her sing this one.
