The music, the spirit, the family, the food! Christmas really is one of my favorite times of the year! I hope you’re ready to get in on the Heart of Christmas too!

On December 2nd, we’ll be kicking off our brand new series called The Heart of Christmas all about the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is always an important time for giving. During this season, we’ll be bringing a special Heart of Christmas offering to worship Jesus, the Birthday Boy! The reason we have our Christmas offering is to help us make sure Jesus is the top priority in our life and our Christmas season.

We’re asking everyone to prayerfully consider bringing an offering over and above your normal giving through The Heart of Christmas offering. This will greatly help us continue to be the light of Jesus in Central Texas that God has called us to be.

This offering will help us fund the many life-changing ministries that happen through The Connection Church each and every week, including the many ways we assist those in need right here in Central Texas. The best part is that it also enables us to feed the 150 children in our 3 villages in Guatemala every school day. In 2018, we’ve already provided nearly 50,000 meals for kids who have limited resources or access to healthy meals. They especially enjoy the Christmas parties we funded for them this year!

The way my family decides how much to give is by first determining how much our most expensive Christmas gift will be. Then, we make sure we bring at least that much for our Christmas offering. That way, Jesus stays FIRST on our Christmas list.

We will have our BIG giving day in each of our Celebration Services on December 16th. You can bring your offering or donate electronically anytime right here at this link.

Remember that in Matthew 2:11, Matthew shows that it’s wise to bring your best offering to Jesus!

They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I can’t wait to see what God does through us and in us this Christmas season!
