How convenient is it that another word for thinking is "cerebration" which rhymes so nicely with "celebration"?
There were lots of small roadbumps this morning during setup, but by the time the service started, things were rocking.
Half the band today was different. We had Dutch on bass, a good guy who’s been with our church awhile, who layed down a solid bottom end. We brought in Dan Vogel on guitar, he’s awesome, but we didn’t give him enough solos. I love Connection Church music!
The sermon today was one of the toughest ones I’ve ever done, dealing with divorce. (By the way, I heard about a church this week who doesn’t want to help people who’ve been divorced because it might encourage other people to get a divorce. Completely sick thinking. No wonder people have such a negative view of Christians!) Today’s message was one that was very needed and I hope a lot of people got the message that God and TCC are here for them no matter what they go through. The podcast will be up in a day or so here.
John Patrick shared a little bit of his story during the message today and did a great job. I’m glad people got to hear from John. He’s a great guy who actually used to pastor a church. He showed amazing restraint by only talking a few minutes. You know how those preachers are once you get them started.
Every week at the PAC is a victory in my mind. I love being there!
I got to see the new Iron Man movie today. Lots of fun and a good message about finding what you were meant to do and having purpose in life.
I can’t believe I get to do what I do! I love our church! I thank God that He would let me in on what He’s doing! It’s getting better all the time!
