I’m thankful for:

  • My awesome God, Jesus! Even on my best day, I don’t come close to deserving what He’s given me: Forgiveness, a reason to live, a hope and a future! Thank You for loving me.
  • My incredible wife Pam. No one compares to my lovely bride. She’s a beauty inside and out, manages our household, my best friend, confidant, partner, always thinking of others before herself (she’s the giving tree), great mother, and she loves the Lord with all she’s got.
  • My kids. Makenzie and Bethanie inspire me. They are Daddy’s girls, or you could say I’m my gir;’s Daddy because it only takes a smile and I’m wrapped around their fingers. I am so thankful to God for giving them to me. Knockouts, smart, funny, and they love Jesus.
  • My job. I don’t understand how I get the privilege of leading such an amazing church. I get to do what I love. I’d do it for free, just don’t tell anyone. You couldn’t pay me enough money to be anyplace else. And you’d have to tie me up to keep me away.
  • Our staff. I get to work with good friends. God has surrounded me with some of the most talented people on the planet. I couldn’t do this without this committed team. They sharpen me and they flat out get the job done.
  • The Connection Church. There is no other church like TCC. God has already done so much through this new church and we’re just coming out of the starting blocks. There is so much potential bottled up in her that I can’t wait to see what’s next. Here’s a hint: lots more life-change.
  • My family. "My momma loves me, she loves me." I get to spend Thanksgiving Day with the people who shaped my life.
  • My friends. I’m thankful to have people who care about me and pour into my life. You know who you are.
  • Music. Loud, smooth, funky, twangy, hooky, moving, rocking, retro, whatever. Music fills my life and I love it.
  • Good health. So far, so good. I’m thankful that I’ve made it this far above ground.
  • Freedom. I like to be in America, the land of the free. I don’t want to take it for granted.
  • Stuff. Yes, I confess, I’m spoiled. I have much more than I need. It’s all on loan from God.

I have so much to be thankful for! Have a great Thanksgiving Day!
