This weekend was the annual Daddy/Daughter Dance where I took Makenzie and Bethanie out to dinner at Palmer’s in San Marcos, which was incredible, and then to dance. I started the night off by bringing them some psychedelic flowers.

They played “Butterfly Kisses” once and Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella” thrice. As I shared a special dance with each daughter, I made sure to speak words of affirmation and encouragement to them. I don’t want them to ever have any doubt about my love for them. I dedicated “My Girl” to them as our last dance of the night. We had a blast together and made some memories we won’t ever forget.

Thanks to the West’s for the pics!

  1. Wow – your oldest looks just like her mom and your youngest just like you. I hadn’t realized that until I saw these photos!! Looked like fun. I hope my boys still like me when they get older and don’t think it’s uncool to hang out with their mom.
