Fall Festival Fun

Fall Saturday afternoons are usually spent with a soccer game, but with the rain our game was cancelled, so we headed to Elgin for the Pumpkin Festival. It was less than an hour drive and we enjoyed some of the original Elgin hot sausage at Southside Market along the way. The weather was crisp and cool and there were a few fun activities, but mostly geared to the younger set. We also picked a pretty big pumpkin to bring home with us for carving. Overall, a good experience for a few hours on a Saturday with the family in those moments we’ve got for family fun.
