Sunday morning was pretty crazy. I guess it’s because we had Spring Break the week before, which also affected our attendance again this week, and our team was not all in the same place at the same time. Excuses, excuses. And because Zak had to dress like me with his orange shirt. "Look Ma, a couple of carrots!"

As we are trying to up our game for Easter, (which is only three Sundays away!) we’re adding some new elements.

We added some nice new stretch table covers. Simple but pretty cool. (Hey, we’ve been using the same ones since we started.)

We also tried to add new stage lighting. A church donated 16 of their old lights to us, so all we had to do was get the stands and the light mixer. The reason this would be a good thing is: your countenance is one of the most important parts of communicating. And many times we are standing in shadows up on the stage. So, with Micah’s help, Zak and I tried to get the new lights shining. And we were working on it right up to the wire. They didn’t quite do what we wanted, but they looked cool at the back of the cafetorium. We need someone who wants to be a lighting tech and take care of setting them up.

A new portable baptistry. This is available for other churches in our area to use. We broke it in on Sunday with four people being baptized! Baptism is my favorite thing because it’s such a clear step in a person’s life of surrender to Jesus. Way to go Christina, Sophia, Alexandria and Christopher! Way to go church family! Every person we reach is a team effort. And every person that comes to Christ starts a party in heaven!

We kicked off the new series EVERYONE. The band did a great job with U2’s "One." I hope I was able to get across the urgency that I have for us to invite everyone to our services this Easter. Our Easter services are going to be unbelievable! If you want to know more about how to share your faith every day this week, check out: Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4

While I’m on the subject of new, we also had several new faces. Every week people come to check out TCC for the first time and in the process they get introduced to a fresh start with God. Make sure you meet as many guests as you can every Sunday. We want to keep that same super-friendly atmosphere that we’ve had from the beginning. That’s a big part of what Making the Connection is all about.
