Have you ever woken up on Sunday morning and just wanted to visit the First Pillow Church of the Mattress? Be honest, there are a lot of times when you are just so drained that it’s hard to get up and go to church. But when you get up and go, you are pumped up, energized and excited to be there.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” God is the source of our energy. And there’s something contagious about being in a fired-up environment.

At TCC, our Celebration Services are high-energy. And if there’s one person who gets this at our church, it’s Douglas Fisher. He’s the poster boy of enthusiasm at TCC. He serves in our parking lot and with our greeter team. You can’t miss him because he’s always got a big smile on his face and he sits right up front in our services. Yesterday, we talked to him and let him know how great it was that he’s so excited and how it makes our services that much better to have him getting into the worship and message.

Just from that talk with one person, there was an incredible boost in the energy of almost everyone during the second service. You could literally see and feel the difference. That showed us the power of one. And just imagine, if one person can make that kind of a difference, what would it be like if everyone who serves on a team at TCC or who is just genuinely excited about what God is up to decided to sit up front and center and actively engage in our services? It would be off the chain!

I want to challenge you to do this very simple thing: move in close, participate in the Celebration Service in every way you can this Sunday.

I’m not talking about hype for hype’s sake. I’m talking about being excited about what God is doing in our lives and the lives of the people around us! If you will do that, our services will soar to a whole new level.
