Let’s just cut to the chase: This weekend was perhaps, without exaggeration, The Best Week Ever at The Connection Church! All the BIG STUFF that I mentioned in this post happened, and then some.

We kicked off our new series Clash of Symbols all about the two practices that Jesus said we should do regularly to remember what He did for us.

The band brought us one of the nicest sounding versions of NEEDTOBREATHE’s Washed By The Water I’ve ever heard. Those were some sweet harmonies, vocalists! You can listen to all the songs we sang on this Spotify playlist.

The message was about “Going Public with My Faith.” We talked about what baptism is and the whys and hows of taking the plunge. If you want to watch the message, you can see it here.

The day wrapped up with Burgers and Baptism at Twin Oaks Ranch where we celebrated 35 people who said, “I’m all in for following Jesus!” and were baptized! It was a truly amazing experience to be a part of that moment! We already have a number of people are planning on being baptized at our next Baptism Celebration on August 24th during our services.
