To say this week was the best week yet at The Connection Church may not be an exaggeration. I’m catching myself with a huge, goofy smile on my face on Sundays between services that I can only explain by the fact that great things are happening! We kicked off our new series MARVEL, and it was such a blast that once again we saw that church can actually be fun.

When people arrived in the parking lot, they were greeted with an opportunity to have their rear windshield marked with our Easter mini-site, ConnectionEaster.com. We had volunteers who cleaned windshields and others who artistically wrote the web address on the windshield. Be on the lookout for Connectors who are boldly letting people know about our Easter services while driving around town. If you want to have your windshield marked this Sunday, click here to print this form out and place it on your dashboard when you arrive.

When our volunteers checked in, they were given a special thank you with some new Peeps-on-a-stick reminding them that “We have the BEST PEEPS around!” Our volunteers make all the difference in creating the best opportunity for people to connect with Christ.

The Marvel series kick-off included an opening song from Family Force 5 called “Superhero” with a Marvel Movie Montage in the background. We even had an actual superhero greeting at the door this week thanks to Victor “Captain America” Torres! Many people showed up sporting their own superhero attire. The new stage design also looked super!

You can listen to this week’s worship setlist by clicking on this Spotify link. The worship set started with a song called “The King is Coming,” that you might have heard in the new movie, “God’s Not Dead.” We sang a powerful version of “Oceans” which really prepared us for the message about walking on the water in faith toward Jesus. The band also nailed Chris August’s song “Jesus Savior” with scenes from the Son of God movie to set the stage for the whole series on the wonders of Jesus.

The message was about Finding Fantastic Faith. Jesus wants to get in the boat with you and get you out of your boat to make you a fisher for people. You can catch the message right here, when you can also view or download discussion questions and the message outline. By the way, it’s a great reminder that we all need to be intentionally inviting people this week to be here next Sunday!

On that note, our services we’re packed out this week with nearly 1200 people, so you can make a big difference by simply choosing to attend the 9am or the Noon service to make room for our guests at 10:30.

You can see some of the scenes from this week below or click here to check out more great pics. Thanks Beth for using your talents for Jesus!
