The Best Week Yet: Hercules

We had an incredible time as we continued God on Film with the new Hercules movie all about the realities of revenge and how to choose right in the face of wrong.

We’re celebrating the 19 first-time guest Connection Cards we received! In some cases, those cards represent whole families of people we’re praying will get connected with what God is doing here and experience God’s transforming power in their lives.

Our Connection Creative Team led us in a super set of energetic worship songs including You Came to My Rescue and Cornerstone. They also brought the house down with OneRepublic’s Counting Stars. You can hear the original versions of these songs on this Spotify playlist here.

The message this week was about something that’s pretty common today: Revenge. We live in a culture that says, “Don’t get mad, get even!” But in Romans 12:19, Paul says, Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. You can watch the message for yourself right here or share it with a friend who needs to hear it.

Then, right after the Celebration Services were over, over 50 from our FUZE student ministry went to Port A for an awesome week of fun at the beach. Last night, we heard personal stories from the students who went telling us about how God is at work in their lives! I am reminded how amazing it is to be a part of such a powerful work of God! I never want to take that for granted!
