I’m not one to go around bashing movies and media, but here goes: Parents and their kids need to beware of the new movie releasing this Christmas called The Golden Compass starring Nicole Kidman. It was written as a sort of anti-Narnia series under the title: His Dark Materials. According to Snopes, the children in the movie end up killing God so they can do whatever they want. There is definitely an agenda and message behind this movie. You can read more here.
It’s another reminder that not everything that’s animated or pushed on families from Hollywood should be seen. I know there’s tremendous pressure on parents to take their kids to the latest schlock, but you’ve got to check out what’s really going on to lead your kids to make positive choices that will help them grow healthy and wholly holy.
