This week, I had the amazing chance to travel with C3 Global, Hunger Relief International and 2 other pastors to Guatemala to get to experience firsthand the many ways we can partner together to share God’s love and change lives. Of course, what I experienced in those few days is so much that I will be sharing over the next several weeks. We went to see the people in 3 remote villages and gave away lots of nutritious food, clothes and even a few treats along the way. They were so welcoming to us as we arrived with signs and decorations. We also got to pray with them for their needs. These villages don’t currently have a Christian church presence.

If you notice the last pic in the video, you see that the last village is divided by a steep river bank with a narrow suspension bridge that is 100 feet above the shallow water below. This bridge is about 300 feet long, and let me tell you, even though the sign says. “No Shaking the Bridge,” it sways as you walk across it and the wood is starting to rot. The kids have to walk across it several times a day just to go to school, so they’re very comfortable with it. We weren’t so confident.

Soon, we will be adopting one of these villages to establish long-term connections with them to provide them with food, clean water, and Christian education.
