We’re only 4 services into Rockin’ Christmas and already, we’ve got so much to celebrate, from tons of fun, love to the reason for it all: CHANGED LIVES! In fact, yesterday I got this message through Facebook: “A year ago at The Connection Church Rockin’ Christmas my life was changed. Thank you for changing my life and my family’s for the better.” Rockin’ Christmas is different from any other Christmas Eve service you may go to, but we love it that way!

In a service full of “moments,” here are a few highlights:

The opening fanfare with the TCC Drum & Bugle Corps was arranged by our very own Pastor Trey.

We brought together our entire cast of Christmas characters from the Classic Christmas series to take it to the next level with The Grinch, Rudolph, and Charlie Brown. Watching this part of the service makes me a little nervous for what we’re going to have to do next year to top it. I’m trying to figure out how to have flying reindeer! 🙂

The worship set kicked off in two of the services with our Deaf ASL Choir. To me, seeing the children singing on stage was one of the highlights!

I’ve got probably 20 recorded versions of Mary Did You Know? and we’ve never done that song at TCC, but far and away, our band’s version with Pam tearing the roof off the place was the best I’ve ever heard!

We showed video from the Christmas Party that we were able to provide for our village in Guatemala along with many other villages that were blessed because of your generosity. If you want to make a difference this Christmas, click here to give online.

The message was simply this: Jesus was born at Christmas because God wants you to know how much you matter to Him and to make a way for you to connect with God for now and forever! So many people gave their lives to Jesus and given Him the best gift for Christmas, their lives! If you want to hear the message, check it out here or on our FREE mobile app.

One of our TCC Christmas traditions is having a birthday cake for the birthday boy Jesus and singing Happy Birthday. And tonight, after the 7:30 service, we’ll dig into the cake. Somebody’s got to eat it!

We had a beautiful “virtual” candlelight carol time to focus in on the meaning of the season. It’s so good to take a moment to calm down and reflect on God’s goodness!

And finally, we wrapped it all up with a slammin’ song with a surprise blast of Christmas confetti! It all made for an awesome time of celebration!

I can’t put into words how thankful I am for all those people on our team who pour so many hours of their Christmas into making this whole event happen! We have been blessed with an amazing group of people who love Jesus, love each other, and love the people that we’ve been called to reach out to with the love of God!

All that said, we’ve still got 2 more incredible services to go tonight on Christmas Eve at 5:30 & 7:30. We’re even gonna switch a few things up to keep it fresh. Don’t miss out on the s’mores outside either before or after you come in. Tickets are still available right here: Rockin Christmas

Here are a few of the pics, but you should click right here to go to our Flickr page and see them all!
