Fotor1211122141Who knew you could have so much fun at church? That’s a question we ask a lot around here. Sometimes, we wonder, is it even legal? But this Sunday really ran the full range of emotions.

It was a great Sunday to have so many guests with us, as 18 first time guest cards were turned in. I love meeting new people and the fact that our church family is all about inviting, bringing, and welcoming people!

Our students just got back from an incredible retreat weekend called Elevate. Even though they got very little sleep, they are fired up for what God is doing in their lives! Thanks to all those amazing adult sponsors who poured into our students this weekend!

We had a special guest with us this week, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I’m not so sure why people laughed at him and called him names. As far as I could tell, the boy had some great dance moves!

You know I’m not one to toot my own horn, but for the first time in the history of The Connection Church, I joined the band on saxophone for Chuck Berry’s classic Run Rudolph Run. Sure, I was a little rusty, but it was a blast wailing on the sax with our incredible worship team!

The message was all about how to face the inevitable rejection that we all experience in life at one time or another. One of the ways we can deal with the lies of those who have rejected us is to replace them with the truth of God’s Word. Here is what God says about you:

Ephesians 1:4-6, Romans 15:7, Luke 12:24, 2 Timothy 1:7, Colossians 2:13, Psalm 27:10, Ephesians 3:12, Romans 8:1

I want to encourage you to print these off and read over them as a reminder of God’s unconditional approval of you in Christ. To hear this week’s message, go here or listen on our FREE mobile app.

The service ended with a unified song of offering our hearts and lives to God through Here’s My Heart. It’s so good to know that we can trust God with our hearts! Remember the One who knows you the best, loves you the most!
