So this week’s rewind will be brief because I actually wasn’t at The Connection Church on Sunday. Where was I? I had the honor of speaking at Revolution Church down in Selma, Texas. It was a great experience to be with a church that we helped get started after Zak and Amber White moved from being on staff at The Connection Church and started an excellent work just north of San Antonio. It reminded me how Zak and I used to talk about reaching the entire corridor between San Antonio and Austin and now, both churches are strategically positioned to do just that and the vision is becoming reality!

I got to talk with Revolution about stewardship and I can’t wait to get to share those thoughts with our church family this January. The key truth was this: Tithing is the super-highway to spiritual growth!

Meanwhile, back home at The Connection Church, I got to hear the worship band rehearse for last Sunday and know that it was an unbelievable Celebration Service. Kenzie and the band sang The Pointer Sisters We Are Family and the vocalists even brought a few funky dance moves to the stage! They also brought their own unique version of Rend Collective Experiment’s Build Your Kingdom Here which I’m looking forward to hearing again this coming week.

We’re also celebrating a great day for our Deaf Bible Study who had a big surge in attendance and enjoyed some good food and fun together.

I am so thankful we never miss a beat when I’m out because Pastor Trey hits a home run every time! He talked about the people you need on your train to strengthen your soul. He even conducted a chemistry experiment during the message! You can watch this week’s message here or on the TCC mobile app.

Since I missed out, I’d love to hear from you about the impact this week’s service made on your life. Let me know how God used it to strengthen your connections.
