Alright! I'll admit it. I'm an addict. I can't control it and I can't stop it. It's something that consumes me. I think about it when I wake up and am still thinking about it when I go to bed at night. I try to figure out how I can experience more of it. I dream of ways to be a part of it. Are you ready? Here it is: LIFE CHANGE!

Yes, it is a core value of my life and of The Connection Church. It's behind the decisions we make, behind the music, behind the messages, behind the busyness of it all. It's for 1 reason. That people's lives will be changed by the awesome power of Jesus Christ. I don't kid myself, I am not the one who can change a life, I can't even change my own. But God's Spirit can and does. God's Word is effective and powerful and when it is applied to the point of our greatest needs, we can experience freedom and victory.

Sunday, we got to baptize several people who have surrendered their lives to Christ. I love baptism because it is such a clear picture of a life that has been changed. The people in these pictures each have powerful stories of how they met Jesus and how He is changing them from the inside out. I'm excited to just have a part in their story that will now last an eternity. And every person who serves at TCC also has played a part in their lives, sometimes even unknowingly, but God is using us as change agents.

Come to think of it, I don't want any treatment for my addiction. I just want more of it.
