Explore God with Us

Yesterday, I watched Forrest Gump for the first time since I saw it in the theatre back in ’94. It’s such an amazing movie (I just don’t usually sit through a movie more than once). At one point, Lieutenant Dan is feeling hopeless and asks “Where is this God of yours?” It’s at that moment that God shows up in a raging storm.

We all have doubts and questions, but the last place people think they will get an honest answer is in the church. We need to know that faith isn’t threatened by the hard questions. Faith and reason go hand in hand, like peas and carrots. 🙂

You may have seen the many Explore God billboards all over Austin or heard one of the commercials. We’re excited that we get to partner with more than 340 area churches for this new message series and the relaunch of our Connection Groups. We’ll be dealing with the questions “Why am I here?” “Who is God?” “Why should I trust the Bible?” and “Who is Jesus?” This is a going to be a great time of growth for us as we welcome guests into our family and learn the reasons for our faith.
