• It’s Labor Day Weekend, the last weekend of summer, which usually means that the church worship service is a barren wasteland where you can hear the crickets chirping, but that’s certainly not the case at The Connection Church. We had a full house at the 9am Celebration so I thought, “Well maybe everyone’s coming early to get their BBQ on.” But every service was packed out. I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on being there!
  • This week, we added some new white lights to the stage, which means you can now see people’s eyes, the window to their souls. And the glare off my head will be that much brighter!
  • Last week, we weren’t quite sure of what song the band would sing that tied into the message. As I sat down to take a few notes on the passage in 1 Kings 1 I was preaching from, the words to Lady Antebellum’s I Was Here started going through my head. So the band made it happen with Lauren singing it beautifully! Way to go Lauren!
  • We wrapped up our fun Don’t Duck Your Destiny series with a look at the end of King David’s life on how to Leave a Legacy. The most important legacy you can leave is helping someone else connect with God through Jesus Christ!
  • If you missed the message, you can listen to it here or hear it through our mobile app.
  • Sadly, this weekend was officially Mitch’s last one to be living in the area. I’m so proud of her and her growth during her time with us. She has become part of our Connection Family and she’ll be missed. We took some time at the end of the Noon service to commission her through prayer. But not until after I had brought out a rope to try and keep her with us. We are praying God’s best for her future and she is always welcome back, hopefully sooner than later.
