Angel Food Kickoff

This morning, about 6 of our guys got up at dark:30 (before 4am) to go to Austin to unload a truck full of food (I wasn’t one of them). For our first month of Angel Food, we distributed 51 boxes to people in our community. Thanks to Stacey and crew, everything went smoothly. I was clearly reminded of what an awesomely unique church TCC is by the outpouring of "angels" who were there to get this ministry going. We had as many people serving as we had people coming to pick up groceries. That’s a huge sign of the promise to come as we continue expanding this thing to serve more people. I know that’s their heart’s desire.

After we were done, my family had the privilege of delivering a box donated by our Connection Group to a family that could use a helping hand. That was the big payoff of the day for me to be able to go into a home and in a small way bring God’s light. Spread the word about this opportunity. Everybody needs a helping hand.
