We’re movin’ on up! Last week an article was published in the Free Press called Growing Fast. In part, it read:

Kyle appears to be the fastest growing medium size city in the state, with an estimated 13-plus percent yearly population increase over the last two years. There is little indication that it will slow down substantially before the 2010 U.S census is taken.

As a result the Kyle City Council Tuesday night approved a resolution decreeing that the 126-year old city now has a population of 25, 233.

These statistics catapult Kyle ahead of long established small Texas cities, like Seguin, Kerrville, Brownwood, Big Springs, Marshall, Taylor and Eagle Pass, when it comes to population totals.

As a result Kyle jumps in the Census estimate from 45th place to 14th in total population of cities that contained between 15,000 and 30,000 residents in a study conducted back in April, 2005.

This is an exciting place to be! There is no doubt that we are in the center of what God is doing in the state of Texas. Like in the book of Acts when the church first started, God is bringing people from all over right to our doors. As we get closer to Easter, we are getting ready for the next wave of growth at TCC. Make sure you don’t miss a Sunday as we lay down the clear strategy we will use to help people Make the Connection.
