What’s your favorite Christmas movie? In our family, we have several Christmas movies that we try to get in every year. Here’s my list:

  • The Muppet Christmas Carol: My favorite version of the Dickens’ classic.
  • Jingle All The Way: You can’t go wrong with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad fighting in a battle to the death over Turbo Man!
  • It’s a Wonderful Life: The once ubiquitous movie has almost disappeared from television, but it’s message that “no man is a failure who has friends,” still rings true.
  • Elf: Will Ferrell is at his best in this hilarious movie with a reminder to put family over our work, which can be especially hard during the busy Christmas season.

This December at The Connection Church we’re revisiting the classic Christmas movies that everyone loves: A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We’ll look behind the movies to find the biblical message of the true meaning of Christmas and it will make for a richer experience of Christmas than ever before! The series is called Christmas Classics and we’ve got lots of surprises in store for this month.

It all kicks off this Sunday at 9am, 10:30am, and Noon. This is a great series to bring your friends to. People are more open to Jesus at this season than at any other time of the year and a simple invite can make all the difference in someone’s life! I look forward to seeing you there!
