The Go! Team from The Connection Church has now started their third trip to the village of Agua Zarca in Guatemala in this last year. We arrived on Saturday, June 7th and plan to be home on Friday the 13th. We’ve got a sold-out committed team of 14 this time out who are compelled by the love of God to GO to those who need Jesus and be His hands and feet. For some, this is their first time on a trip like this, and for others, we’re just now starting to get the hang of it, if that’s really possible.

One thing everyone needs to know is that Pastor Trey Williams has achieved the status of legend in the village. He is a living example of love in action as he connects with people and works like a man driven to finish what he’s started. Leading a team on a trip like this is full of challenges and Trey meets each one with grace. I am so thankful to have a partner in ministry like Trey! Even though we’ve been here a few times, we’ve seen some incredible fruit right away like never before because of the seeds that our church family has planted. For the last year and a half, we have fed the children of the village every day through our partnership with Hunger Relief International, and we have been a part of providing a school, a kitchen, bathrooms, and the drainage system around the building. One of our projects this time out is to build a retaining wall on one side of the school. Now, with the help of Mitch & Amanda Munoz, full-time missionaries with Mobilizing Students, we were able to lead one of the men of the village named Belter to Christ and baptize him in the river on our first day here!

God is definitely up to some big things in Agua Zarca and we’re so glad to be a part of it. Thank you for praying for us! To get a look at our first day, check out the video below:
