The typical Mother’s Day Eve at the Phillips’ home: Cole and Pam “dressing” around 200 roses. What that means is pulling off every thorn and removing the leaves. Big fun? Sure. But the pain in my fingers more than makes up for any joy I may have. This year, I was seriously considering paying the outrageous fee to the florist to do this for me (nearly double the cost.)
