TCC started as a dream that God birthed in my heart and the dream has grown to include the hundreds of people who now call this church their home. With the rapid growth that we’ve experienced and with the challenge of the next steps God is calling us to take, the time has now come for us to take a next step of maturity and put our Constitution & Bylaws in place so we can continue to fulfill God’s purpose for us. We’ve been prayerfully working on these documents over the past several months and I want everyone to have the chance to look over them before they’re adopted at our 3 year birthday celebration on August 26th. You can check them out here: TCC Bylaws.
We have had these checked out by a local (and godly) lawyer and they’ve been discussed and approved by our strategic planning team/ministry leadership team. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know and I’ll do my best to answer either personally or through a future post.
It’s been amazing that until this point, we’ve operated effectively without any governing documents whatsoever, and no business meetings either. (is that really possible? 🙂 What does the adoption of these documents mean for us practically at TCC? Its an important step we need to take, but on the outside, you won’t notice much of a change. Simply put, these documents allow us to continue with the biblical structure that’s been in place since the beginning. Only now, we are raising up some of our own leaders to serve as a Ministry Leadership Team rather than having a team of outside pastors that we meet with. You already know them, but I’ll introduce these people to you in a coming post. Adopting our bylaws will be another chance for us to celebrate the lives that have been changed in the past 3 years and look forward to 1000s of lives changed in the coming years!
