April 2008 begins a new phase for The Connection Church, as we move to the next level. Whenever a new church makes a move like this, it can be a major momentum builder. In part 1, I talked about the move "from." Now I want to think about the move "to."

During "Something So BIG!" we found out that it might be a possibility for us to move in to the Hays Performing Arts Center for services on Sunday mornings. After our service there, they accepted our application. This is one of the big TCC miracles that once again shows that God is driving this whole thing.

Here’s some of the benefits of moving to the new Performing Arts Center.

  • It opens up lots of parking and plenty of seats, over 900!
  • The PAC is a regional facility that people know of and use from both Kyle and Buda. And even further than that, this theater is also used by groups from San Marcos, Austin, and beyond!
  • The PAC is designed for adults, grown-ups, rather than for kids. So the bathrooms are to scale!
  • We’ll be able to raise the level of our message and music presentation each week with lots of room on stage and crystal clear projection.
  • We’ll be able to accommodate more people in fewer services making for less stress on our incredibly committed volunteers.
  • The PAC is kept nice and clean! (No funny cafeteria smells.) And the seats are padded.
  • The location is familiar and easy to find right down from the new HEB.

Next time, I want to talk about what this is all going to mean for us as we prepare for the BIG move.
