Jeff McFadden has been working with us in our Student Ministries for the past few months. After starting a church in the Seguin area, we were glad to have him on our team to reach out to teenagers and help them grow in their walk with the Lord.

Early on Monday morning, I got a call from Jeff and he let me know that he felt that he needed to step down from his ministry at TCC. He came to the realization and conviction that his priorities needed to lie closer to home.

I’m thankful for the work that he did while he was with us. Please keep Jeff and his family in your prayers. They still have a place as part of our church family.

In the meantime, our students get to have "special guests" (meaning me and Zak) step in and lead out on Wednesday nights. I actually love working with students and believe that it’s the frontlines where you can see a lot of life-change. So, in the meantime, we’ll have some fun until that next step for our youth. We’ve got some good things planned for them in early 2008, including a new place to meet on Wednesdays and a Hot Hearts retreat in Austin.

  1. Cole, I think you and your students would really enjoy reading the new book: Brown Like Coffee. I found it at brownlikecoffee.com
    I loved it.
