What? a day? What a day!

Let’s just start by saying that we started off the morning by dropping the projector from the top of the rolling case down to the hard floor. Who? Well, let’s just say a close friend by the initials of… Nah! But it was me who booby-trapped it to fall in the first place. Thankfully, the projector is fine and no noses were harmed as a result.

Bram sang MercyMe’s version of my favorite hymn The Love of God. His voice is like buttah. He blew it out of the water! He’s a true pro.

The video story by Joe & Melanie Barnes was incredible. I can’t hear enough stories about the impact that God is having on people’s lives. If you missed it, check it out on the Something So Big website this week. Those kinds of stories drive us to do what we do.

It was great to see some familiar faces back with us again today. I was so pumped. You just never know who you may see again. I’m thanking God for that. YESSS!

If you couldn’t tell, I had a blast with the message today. And I got to throw in a rockin’ drum solo in the process. 🙂 It’ll be up on our podcast page soon, in case you missed it, or just want to hear it again.

We baptized 13 people today!!!!! 3 kiddos and 10 adults!!!!! The water was totally freezing. It felt like knives were shooting into my legs. But once they went numb, it felt great. Lots of people came out to show support, not only for the people taking this important spiritual step, but also for the vision of The Connection Church to see lives changed!

Then, we had a good group of people over to the house to talk about Something So Big. I love the way people are getting excited about what God is doing through TCC. There were a lot of ideas and hopes and dreams people shared for our future together. They challenged me and excited me about what we can do when we share a BIG vision. I’m praying that each of them will go out this week to carry that vision to the people around them.

We’ve got a big week ahead of us as we close in on Commitment Sunday at the Performing Arts Center. Here we go…
